Mr Spyros Goumas, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors, founded SQLearn and has a trainer background for the last 25 years. He specialises in training design (VET), delivery techniques and distance learning approaches for adult learners. He has participated in many European projects (EQUAL, LdV, LLP) and has vast experience in researching, project management and collaboration with transnational partners.
Dr Antonios Fringas, General Manager and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, holds an MSc and PhD in Informatics and has co-founded SQLearn in 2006. Antonis has experience in e-learning related projects in many different settings and in the design and development of web-based applications. Designed award winning application for tablet e-learning. Participated in many EU funded projects as technical advisor. Antonis is dealing (among others) with company management, new products/projects architecture design, new products development. Overlooking e-learning courses development dpt dealing with SCORM (Flash and HTML5) course development using various authoring tools. Overlooking technical dpt focusing on providing open source LMS related solutions. Working on EU funded projects (coordinator and partner) as PM on behalf of SQLearn overlooking progress of deliverables, status reports, performing required research.

In this context, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Shipping & Island Policy, SQLearn provided free of charge for the next three years an integrated e-Learning system to all ten Merchant Marine Academies in Greece. The platform aen.sqlearn.com consists of educational material, necessary for seafarers in order to be well prepared for their future careers.
The exclusive cooperation between SQLearn and the Hellenic Red Cross allows everyone to learn in a valid and an efficient way, how to provide basic first aid and to handle emergency situations that have to do with health.
SQLearn organizes a masterclasses series, entitled “A path to the academic and professional community” for the company’s staff under the scientific supervision of Spyros Siakas, Assistant Professor at the Department of Graphic Design and Visual Communication at the University of West Attica.

International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (INTERTANKO)
INTERTANKO is a trade association that has served as the voice for independent tanker owners since 1970, representing the interests of its Members at national, regional and international levels. The organization champions an industry dedicated to support global energy networks by delivering safe, efficient and environmentally sound transport services.
INTERTANKO actively works on a wide range of operational, technical, legal and commercial issues affecting tanker owners and operators around the world. International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners (INTERCARGO)
INTERCARGO is representing the interests of quality dry cargo shipowners. INTERCARGO convened for the first time in 1980 in London and has been participating with consultative status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) since 1993.
INTERCARGO provides the forum where dry bulk shipowners, managers and operators are informed about, discuss and share concerns on key topics and regulatory challenges, especially in relation to safety, the environment and operational excellence. The Association takes forward its Members’ positions to the IMO, as well as to other shipping and international industry fora, having free and fair competition as a principle.
